AchieveGood and JRF: Pioneering the Multibank Model to Alleviate Poverty in Scotland.
We collaborated with The Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF), former Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, and Amazon UK, to orchestrate the successful launch of the first Multibank in the UK.
The Challenge of Establishing the Multibank:
The Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) faced a significant hurdle: the lack of a comprehensive business model and fundraising approach to transform the groundbreaking Multibank initiative into a sustainable reality.
They needed a strategic partner with expertise in cross-sector collaboration to turn this vision into a sustainable reality.
AchieveGood's Solution:
AchieveGood stepped in as the ideal partner with a two-phased approach.
PHASE 1
Investigating and Designing
In close collaboration with JRF, we designed a pilot program, secured initial funding, and developed a comprehensive business plan to secure a two-year funding commitment for the Fife project.
PHASE 2
Implementing and Scaling
We worked hand-in-hand with JRF to launch The Big Hoose Project, establishing a robust network of corporate partners, local charities, and volunteers to distribute essential goods to families in need.
Measurable Results:
Transforming Lives and Communities The impact of The Big Hoose Project in its first year has been remarkable:
“AchieveGood’s strategic guidance and unwavering commitment to driving social change have been pivotal in bringing the Multibank initiative to fruition... Their innovative approach to building partnerships and designing solutions has empowered us to bridge the gap between surplus goods and families in need, transforming lives and communities across Scotland.”
